अधनस्य- The person who is not having knowledge/ Ignorant/ uneducated

कुतो- where

मित्रममित्रस्य- mitram- friend+ Amitrasya- not having a friend

कुतः- where

सुखम् - Happiness/ pleasure

Shloka Meaning:

Where is the Knowledge for a Lazy person's?

Where is the Money/ Wealth for a the person who is not having knowledge/ Ignorant/ uneducated?

Where is the Friend for a the person who is not having Money/ Wealth and

Where is the Happiness/ Pleasure for a the person who is not having friend.

( one, who is lazy can't gain knowledge,

without knowledge one can't earn money/ wealth,

without wealth one can't have even a friend, and

without a friend one can't get happiness.)

Hence one should strive hard to be active without laziness to gain Knowledge, with knowledge one will have wealth, wealthy person will have friends and with friends one will get Happiness.

''So first thing to gain KNOWLEDGE is to AVOID LAZINESS''.
