अतिप्रवृद्धं मलदोषजं वा शरीरिणां स्थावरजङ्गमानाम्|

यत्किञ्चिदाबाधकरं शरीरे तत् सर्वमेव प्रवदन्ति शल्यम्|| Su.Su.1/8(1) Dalhana Commentary


Word meaning:

अतिप्रवृद्धं- Ati+Pravruddha= Excess+Increased

मलदोषजं- Mala+Dosha= Three malas - Mutra, Purisha and Sweda+ Three Doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha

वा - or, is it?

शरीरिणां – in the body/ soul

स्थावरजङ्गमानाम् – among Plant origin or Animal Origin

यत्किञ्चिदाबाधकरं- Yat+Kinchit+Aabadha+karam= that+ a little+trouble/pain+doing

शरीरे- in the shareera(body)

तत्- that

सर्वमेव= Sarvam+Eva=everything+really

प्रवदन्ति- announcement/said as

शल्यम्-Shalya


Meaning of Shloka-

Excessively Increased three malas or doshas or any of the Plant origin or Animal Origin things in the body that causes a little trouble/pain also, all these things can be called as Shalya.
